Welcome to Leadership & Learning Pathways’ new weblog.
The purpose of the weblog is to initate a debate concerning the understanding and exercise of leadership in relation to our present and future survival on the planet.
The launch of the weblog itself follows many years searching, anguish, procrastination, discussion, doubt, hope and a belief that despite the mess human society more or less finds itself in today, there remains the possibility, limited though it is, that together we can stop, even reverse, our reckless and lemming like rush over the edge of the proverbial cliff.
After such a long delay, what activated the writing of this weblog was the recent recalling of two ancient Chinese sayings:
“He who must be sure before he takes a step spends his life on one leg.”
“The journey of a thousands miles begins with one step.”
For me in many ways this weblog is ‘the first step’.
The purpose of the LLP weblog, as our new Website says, is to help in bringing about a more equitable and sustainable world. It starts from the premise that the understanding and exercise of leadeship allows for the practise of shared learning and thus to positive action leading to a healthier world.
Leadership and Learning Pathways is dedicated to:

Encouraging dialogue and debate regarding issues relating to building a sustainable world for our present and future generations.

Removing the many man-made barriers that at present prevent us from building such a world.

Facilating the understanding and exercise of both leadership and shared learning, both essential and integrated components of a nurturing world.
